Imagine turning on any tap in your house and getting water that is clean, fresh and actually tastes good, plus it is good for your hair and skin. Every tap in the kitchen, the shower, the bath, the basin, the laundry, all of it. With a whole-house filtration system from Whywait Plumbing, tested and fitted to your home, it stops being a dream and becomes what comes out of all your taps every day.

We’ll confirm the right system, assess your property, and give you a fixed, individually calculated quote, not a guess.
Ever wondered why bottled water tastes cleaner than what comes out of your tap? It’s not magic. Bottled water has usually undergone multiple forms of filtration to remove chlorine, sediment, and taste-affecting compounds before it reaches the shelf.
A Whywait whole-house filtration system does the same job permanently at the point where mains water enters your home. Instead of paying for bottled water or living with a chlorine aftertaste, every tap in the house benefits. The kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and the lot.
The difference is, we don’t guess which system does that job for your home. We test your water first, then fit the Micron system built for what your results actually show.
A single point-of-entry whole-of-house filtration system changes how every tap, shower and appliance in your home performs. Not just the one tap at the kitchen sink.
Enjoy clearer, fresher-tasting water for drinking, ice, coffee, tea, cooking and meal preparation straight from your kitchen tap or fridge dispenser.
Reduce the chlorine and odour in the water your family uses to shower, bathe and wash every day. Your skin and hair will love the clean filtered water.
Bring filtered water to the laundry, washing machine, dishwasher and utility outside hose taps. Reducing chemical damage to your clothes.
Bring filtered water to all your household and exterior cleaning tasks no matter which tap you use to fill your cleaning appliances and mops.
Catch sediment before it reaches taps, hot water valves, cistern valves and water-using appliances, helping your household plumbing stay cleaner and last longer.

A whole house water filtration system filters mains water from the council water meter at the point where it enters your home, so filtered water reaches your kitchen, bathrooms, showers, laundry and appliances. Not just one single kitchen sink tap. Whywait Plumbing tests your water on-site first. Then, based on those results, we recommend either the Micron WH303A Classic 300 Series or the WH303A/X Platinum 300 Series. Fully installed jobs typically run $3,200 to $4,600, depending on your site.
Buying the biggest filter you can find online or at Bunnings is a guess. Testing your water on-site is part of the plan. Every Whywait whole-house filtration job starts with practical on-site testing of your water, followed by our licensed plumbers determining the most suitable installation location. These results decide which system fits your home, not a sales script from a commission-based sales consultant.

We won’t put an exact price on this page, and here’s exactly why that protects you, not us.
Micron WH303A Classic or WH303A/X Platinum, supplied and installed by a licensed plumber from Whywait Plumbing. This range covers the system, all fittings, isolation and bypass valves, labour, flushing, testing, handover and your QBCC Form 4 compliance certificate. Your exact investment depends on your water test results, the system required, and what your property needs to install it safely and compliantly.
✅ We test the water first: Until we know your TDS, pH, chlorine, hardness and flow rate readings, we don’t know which system your home actually needs: a Classic or a Platinum. Pricing before testing would be a guess dressed up as a quote.
✅ We confirm which system you require: The Classic and Platinum have different parts costs and different installation requirements. A price quoted for one system means nothing if your water test points to the other.
✅ We confirm where it can be installed: Every property is different. Pipe material, mains size, access, and mounting location all change how long the job takes and what parts are needed – and none of that is knowable from a website.
✅ Every installation is individually quoted: Because no two Gold Coast homes have identical plumbing, water quality or access, we quote every whole house filtration job on-site, after testing and assessment, not off a standardised price list designed to fit every situation.
Drinking enough water does more for your household than most people realise. Whichever system fits your home, filtration removes the reasons people avoid drinking tap water in the first place. Remember, water touches everything you do in your home. A Whole House Water Filtration Gold Coast system changes how every tap, shower and appliance in your home performs, not just the one beside the kitchen sink.
Proper hydration supports cognitive function. Water that tastes better gets used more by every person in the house, every day.
Clean, chlorine-free water is easier to drink instead of sugary alternatives, supporting hydration goals across the family.
Reduced chlorine exposure in shower water can support skin and hair health, and overall wellbeing for the whole family.
When every tap tastes clean, bottled water stops being the default. Less plastic, less cost, less clutter in the fridge.
Good advice includes the limits. We would rather tell you plainly than install the wrong system in your home. Every Whywait whole-house filtration job starts with practical on-site testing. These results decide which system fits your home, not a sales script.
These are filtration systems, not reverse osmosis or full purification. They target specific contaminants as listed that are Gold Coast specific not every possible one. If you want reverse osmosid or full purification that is a different conversation we will need to have.
Neither system is designed for tank water, bore water or water of unknown quality without extra treatment or disinfection. We need to connect to the City of Gold Coast or Tweed Shire Council mains supply to your home.
A minimum flow rate of 20 L/min is required for either system to perform properly. We test your homes incoming pressure and flow rate on-site before recommending installation.
A whole-house water filtration system filters mains water from the council water meter at the point where it enters your home, so that filtered water reaches your kitchen, bathrooms, showers, laundry, and appliances. Not just one single kitchen sink tap.
Fully installed jobs typically cost $3,200 to $4,600, depending on the required system and your site conditions. We don’t list a single fixed price because every job is individually quoted after water testing and a property site assessment by one of our licensed plumbers.
Because the price depends on three things we can’t know until we’re on-site: which system your water actually needs, your pipe material and mains size, and where the unit can be safely mounted. Guessing a price before that would risk over-quoting or under-quoting your job.
Older galvanised pipework typically costs more to work with than copper or polypipe. Mounting location also matters: an accessible spot near the water meter keeps installation costs lower, while relocating the unit to a garage wall or running lines through a slab can push installation costs much higher.
Fitting an isolation and bypass valve so your household isn’t without water during cartridge changes or filter servicing is standard trade practice, and it’s included in every installation.
Your water test results decide it. If your main concerns are chlorine, sediment, taste, odour and PFAS, the Classic is usually the right fit. If hardness, scale, heavy metals or coastal weather protection matter too, the Platinum is the better choice.
Yes. Its third stage is a dedicated Carbon PFAS Reduction Filter (WH20-PFAS), a specialised 5-micron cartridge designed to target PFAS “forever chemicals” alongside sediment, chlorine, and taste and odour control.
Yes. It includes a high-capacity water-softening resin filter designed to reduce hardness and scale buildup on shower screens, tapware, and appliances.
No. Both systems connect to your mains water supply and must be installed by a licensed plumber with a compliant bypass line to remain covered under the 3-year parts warranty. Both Queensland and New South Wales legally require a whole-of-house filtration system to be installed by a licensed plumber. In Queensland, we must also issue you with a Form 4 compliance certificate and pay all QBCC fees associated with it.
